Color selection and art direction were difficult to tell new color stories while integrating current events since numerous countries are off and lock-down is still in place in many regions.
The content of the new color trend revolved around the concept of Wind of Change. The year was surprising and unexpected – it was a year of many changes. Living rooms and meeting rooms have merged, online birthdays have become the norm, and wearing a mask, just another facial attribute. We recognized the value of friends and family, the importance of teachers, nurses, and doctors. We now see the truth for what it is. This new life, and our resilience and adaptability to change, inspired the colors of this year. Wind of change reflects the functionality of our spaces which have become multi-purpose and responds to our needs as human beings in a transitioning world.
